Connecting to SSH (Shell)

In order to connect to shell, you will need a SSH client. The client we recommend is PuTTY and can be downloaded at the following location:

http://www.chiark.greenend.org.uk/~sgtatham/putty/download.html

How to connect to your shell:

1) Once PuTTY is installed on your computer, open the application and insert following information:

Hostname: servername.seedm8.com

Port: 22

Connection Type: SSH

2) Press open at the bottom of the window

3) Once the server connects, it will ask you for your username. Please type this in and press enter.

3) It will then ask for your SFTP password. Please type this in and press enter. (TIP: To paste your password into shell, copy the password on your computer and right-click in the terminal window when it asks for your password. This will insert the password. Now just press enter like you normally would.)

4) As long as you entered the correct information, you will be brought to your shell where you can complete your commands.

If you receive the 'Access Denied' error, please check to make sure your username and password are correct.
